Simanyene Centre for the Disabled in Lwandle

| September 13, 2017

Better Life continues to support Siyabonga, who has athetoid cerebral palsy.    Funding has been provided for the purchase of a hoist to assist in his handling, as well as an Eyegaze System which empowers people with disabilities to communicate and interact with the world.   By looking at control keys or cells displayed on a screen, a user can generate speech either by typing a message or selecting pre-programmed phrases.  Eyegaze Systems are being used to enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities all over the world.

An office computer has also been donated to the Simanyene Centre.
